Spend a rejuvenating and soul-nourishing evening with us as we explore a practice designed to help loosen the knots that get between us and our natural presence. Presence is our birthright. It is the seat of intuition. For most of us, at some point in our life something begins to get in the way of our connection to this still place within; our ability to be in presence. Life can get so hectic that it sometimes feels like we've lost our connection entirely. Living in this modern time can be very overwhelming. Can you relate? I can, too. The good news is that we can find our way back to presence again. As we begin this new year, let's spend together in community and tap into the deep inner wisdom that comes from our own inner presence. It is a deeply healing place. Voice, movement, and contemplative practice will weave together to help you connect to body, mind, and spirit. We'll explore the felt sense of sound, vivified silence, and the spaciousness and creativity that arise from sound coupled with movement.
The exercises are based on techniques taught world-wide including Fitzmaurice Voicework, Body-Mind Centering (somatic experiencing), and therapeutic mindfulness-based techniques. Our goal is simply to allow what arises to be experienced as fully as we'd like in the moment; to hear what our inner knowing wants to say. The process is intended to be cathartic and a useful process for anyone on a self-growth journey of inner discovery. Bring your favorite journal to write and/or draw in! There are sure to be some insights for you.
