Fermenting the Fruits of Summer Workshop

  • Maya Moon Collective 3349 Adams Avenue San Diego, CA, 92116 United States (map)

Learn how to make probiotic-rich, gut healthy fermented dishes with the many fruits of summer!

Summer is bountiful with fruits! We will show you how to preserve these fruits of summer (cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, and peaches) through fermentation.

Includes your own take-home mason jar of pickles or chutney, and kombucha tasters

Join Austin Durant, founder and Chief Fermentation Officer of Fermenters Club as he takes you into the wild and wide world of fermentation!

  • LEARN: We’ll explain fermentation and have a brief discussion about the benefits of making and eating fermenting foods

  • DEMO: We’ll show you how easy it is to start making fermented foods yourself at home! We’ll demo some simple fermented pickle recipes with cucumbers, peppers, carrots, and more which are loaded with healthy “probiotic” bacteria.

  • TASTE: We’ll have a variety of fermented foods to sample, such as chutney, hot sauce, and pickles

  • DO IT TOGETHER: Roll up your sleeves and make your very own batch of cucumber pickles, or fast fruit chutney

SAVE $10 or more when you bring a friend or posse! (Each guest must have a ticket).

We’ll be sippin’ on some locally crafted Babe Kombucha (regular and high-alcohol flavors). You must be 21 years old or more to enjoy the high abv flavors.
