Multi Sensory Workshop

  • Maya Moon Collective 3349 Adams Avenue San Diego, CA, 92116 United States (map)

Utilizing the practices of Yoga and Ayurveda to bring balance to your everyday life

This workshop will be led by Nicole Roerick and Tushita Hariharan who are bringing together their knowledge and experience of Yoga and Ayurveda, which are sister sciences. This workshop is meant to activate the senses and bring awareness to all aspects within us. There will be an introduction to Ayurvedic principles and a Dosha quiz for everyone to partake in. The Yoga practice will involve breathwork, movement, and meditation that will explore ways to bring balance to the body and relate to the Ayurvedic principles. There will be a sound healing experience during savasana to take you deeper into relaxation.

The second half of the workshop will be interactive and go deeper into Ayurvedic foods and herbs that we can all benefit from. We will explore the true meaning of "food is medicine". We will see, taste, and smell and understand more about our own constitutions and what types of foods/herbs are best for us individually. There will be small bites prepared for you to experience this. There will also be a demonstration on how to make your own ghee, which has many healing properties internally and externally.

This workshop is meant to give you practical ways of integrating Yoga and Ayurveda into your everyday life. This will be a great introduction to these practices and how they can better serve you in an accessible way. You will receive a take home worksheet so you can bring these tools home with you. This workshop is open to everyone!

Bring a yoga mat/blanket.
