Jenny Griffith is an Ayurvedic Practitioner, Herbalist, Chef, and Permaculture Designer. She was introduced to Ayurveda at a yoga teacher training 10 years ago and loved it so much that she enrolled in the San Diego College of Ayurveda. She decided to continue her education and became a Certified Ayurvedic Chef at the Sivananda Yoga Farm in Grass Valley. She then attended Culinary School in Cincinnati and upon completion she created her own company, Wild Vedic Living, where she teaches Ayurvedic cooking classes and workshops.

Jenny finds great joy in helping people learn about their dosha (constitution) and how their body and mind are made up of the 5 elements (Earth, Water, Fire, Air, Ether) in different combinations in each individual. Finding out what your imbalances are and then bringing them into balance to create optimal health and wellbeing is one of the key lessons in Ayurveda. It is a blessing to help individuals learn how to heal and thrive through Ayurveda. It is Jenny's mission to share the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda with as many people as possible, so they can feel lighter, brighter, and healthier than they ever have.

In 2021, Jenny received her Permaculture Design and Herbalism Certification in Guatemala. Growing food and medicine at Villa Kali Ma is a big part of their program and they want to educate the women on how to step into radical self reliance in such a chaotic world. It’s incredible how healing working in nature can be for women in treatment. It really helps to ease and calm the mind. The classes she teaches at Villa Kali Ma are all interconnected. Once each client learns their dosha through a mini Ayurvedic consult, they begin to connect the dots through the cooking class which tastes and foods might be better or worse for them. Each Saturday they put their hands in the soil and plant seeds, harvest veggies and herbs, and learn permaculture practices. Jenny's intention is to interweave Ayurveda and working with mother nature into an integrative health plan that each woman at Villa Kali Ma can take home and apply to their daily lives in small ways.
